Why is sales tax being added now?
We’re adding sales tax collection to align with the latest requirements for digital services. In many places, businesses are now expected to charge sales tax on subscriptions and online platforms. You’ll see any applicable taxes as a separate line on your invoice.
I have a VAT ID; do I need to provide it?
Yes. If your company has a VAT ID, please add it in the “Billing & Tax Information” section of your account settings. Having a valid VAT ID on file helps determine if you’re exempt or eligible for a different tax rate. If you need help, don’t hesitate to contact us.
Can I see how much tax I will have to pay?
Yes. The applicable sales tax will be calculated based on your billing address (country and postal code). You’ll see the tax amount on your invoice as a separate line that clearly breaks down the sales tax for the Optmyzr products and services you’ve purchased.
I am an international customer; will sales tax apply to me?
Sales tax (or VAT) is determined by your billing address, including your country and postal code. Depending on your location, the relevant tax may be applied. Please make sure your billing address is current so we can calculate the correct amount.
My business operates in multiple locations, which address should I put in?
To ensure accurate sales tax calculations, please use the address associated with where you primarily use Optmyzr’s services. If your business has multiple locations, choose the office or region most relevant to your usage. If you need help determining the right address, feel free to contact us.
I’m used to paying a specific price for my subscription—can you discount me so I still pay the same amount and you absorb the sales tax?
We’re unable to absorb or discount the sales tax. Many regions now require businesses to collect taxes on digital services, and we must comply. However, depending on your jurisdiction, businesses may be eligible to recover or claim credits for taxes paid. We recommend consulting an accountant or tax advisor to see if you can recoup these costs.
What if my company is located in a country or state that doesn’t have sales tax?
If you’re located in a jurisdiction without sales tax, you won’t be charged. However, it’s important to keep your address accurate and up to date so we can correctly assess your tax status.
How do I know if my account is tax-exempt?
If your organization is tax-exempt, please submit a valid exemption certificate to Optmyzr. Contact our support team at support@optmyzr.com with your certificate, and we’ll help set up your account accordingly.
