Why are some of my budgets locked?
Budgets that were changed in the last 7 days are automatically locked to protect your account from rapid or conflicting adjustments. This means that the tool will not take these into consideration while reallocating the budget. Budget changes take time to stabilize and show their true impact on performance, and locking them ensures that we don't change them too frequently.
This safeguard helps maintain consistency and prevents situations where multiple changes stack on top of each other before results can be properly evaluated.
You can manually unlock these budgets if you’re confident the recent change hasn’t had (or won’t have) a meaningful impact. However, this is generally not recommended.
How does spend potential affect my target budget, and how can I increase my campaign's spend potential?
If your campaigns are already spending at their maximum potential, you can't achieve the target through budget changes alone.
In this situation, increasing budgets will not lead to higher spend because budget is no longer the limiting factor. Instead, campaign eligibility or performance constraints are preventing additional spend.
To increase your campaign's spend potential, you may need to make changes beyond budget adjustments, such as:
Improving bids or ad rank so campaigns can win more auctions
Expanding targeting (for example, adding keywords, audiences, or locations)
Relaxing overly restrictive performance targets (such as tCPA or tROAS)
Reviewing structural limits like bid caps or shared budget constraints
Once campaigns become eligible for more impressions, Optmyzr can better optimize budgets toward your target.
