Using Optmyzr Labels

Written by Geetanjali Tyagi

Optmyzr Labels

Optmyzr labels allow you to organize campaigns in your Google Ads, Microsoft Ads, or Amazon Ads accounts.

They are only visible in Optmyzr and cannot be accessed on any of the ad platforms. They do not make any changes in any platform as this can only be used for campaign segmentation purposes in Optmyzr.

Using Optmyzr labels, you can:

  • Report on multiple campaigns or on multiple labels (Optmyzr, Google Ads, and Microsoft Ads labels) using the Campaign Selector widget and/or the Labels widget.

  • Optimize a label selection at a time in any of the optimizations.

If you need to tag campaigns and have the information available on Google Ads, we recommend you to use Google Ads labels. Currently, Optmyzr supports only campaign-level labels.

Why Use It?

With Optmyzr Labels, you can:

  1. Organize campaigns into meaningful groups without making changes in your ad platforms.

  2. Quickly filter and report on selected campaign groups using the Campaign Selector and Labels widget.

  3. Improve efficiency by reducing repetitive filtering and campaign selection across tools.

  4. Maintain a structured view of campaigns across multiple accounts and platforms.

Google Ads Labels

Labels created in Google Ads can help you organize the elements in your account into groups so you can quickly filter and report on the data you are interested in.

You can manage them directly in your Google Ads account, and once created, they will be immediately accessible in your Optmyzr account across all the tools.

Microsoft Ads labels

You can view all the labels that are created in your Microsoft Ads account in the reporting tool and other tools. You can also filter and run reports on your labels to get the data that is most meaningful to you.

Why am I unable to see some labels in Optmyzr?

There are a few common reasons why certain labels may not appear in Optmyzr:

1. Recent Changes May Not Be Reflected Yet

Optmyzr always pulls live data directly from the Google Ads API. However, your browser may sometimes display a cached version of the tool interface, which can cause recently applied changes (like labels) to appear missing.

Solution: Try a Force Refresh in your browser to ensure you’re loading the most recent version of the page:

  • Right click anywhere on the page and select “Inspect”

  • Right-click the browser’s Reload icon and select “Empty Cache and Hard Reload”

This clears outdated or corrupted cached data and reloads the page with fresh content from the server, which can help troubleshoot or verify recent changes.

2. MCC-Level Labels Aren’t Supported

If the label was created at the MCC (manager account) level, it won’t be visible in Optmyzr or accessible via the Google Ads API. The API only returns labels created within the specific Google Ads account (not at the MCC level), so Optmyzr can’t retrieve them either.

Solution: Recreate and apply the label directly at the account level (not MCC) to make it available in Optmyzr.

3. Label Was Created But Not Applied

Sometimes a label is created at the account level but not applied to any campaigns, ad groups, ads, or keywords. In such cases, it exists in the system but won’t be linked to any objects—so Optmyzr won’t return it in tool filters or reports.

Solution: Double-check in Google Ads that the label was not only created but also applied to the intended ad groups or campaigns.

Can I delete Optmyzr labels?

Optmyzr labels can be deleted, but not from your end. To delete Optmyzr labels, you can contact support@optmyzr.com. Please ensure that the labels you want to delete are not being used in any of your reports.

Use Cases

  1. Segment Campaigns for Better Workflow Management

Problem: When working in a team, it becomes difficult to track which campaigns belong to which strategist, region, or objective, leading to confusion and overlap in work.

Solution: Use Optmyzr Labels to assign categories such as “Team A”, “US Market”, or “Lead Gen.” You can then filter campaigns based on these labels within Optmyzr.

  2. Quickly Analyze Seasonal or Promotional Campaigns

Problem: During sales or promotions, you launch multiple campaigns but struggle to isolate and evaluate their performance after the campaign ends.

Solution: Label all promotional campaigns (e.g., “Diwali Sale”, “Black Friday”) using Optmyzr Labels and filter them in reporting or optimization tools.

You can easily review performance for specific promotions and make better decisions for future campaigns.
