Optimization History Page

The Optimization History page lets you monitor and review changes made through Optmyzr optimizations. It provides a record of what changes were applied, which team member applied them, when they occurred, and whether they were successful. This page is helpful when auditing optimizations, tracking employee or team changes, or reviewing the impact of automated and manual changes made through Optmyzr.

On this page, you can see the following details:

Optimization Type

The name of the implemented optimization.

Performed By

Optmyzr login email of the user who applied the optimization.

  • Note: In Google Ads, the email on the Change History is the Google Ads MCC email used to connect the accounts to Optmyzr.

Timestamp (GMT)

The time when the changes were implemented.

No. of Changes

The no. of changes that were implemented.

Status

Shows if the changes were successfully implemented.

Details

Download a CSV of the changes implemented.

Post Optimization Report

This can give you information on how the performance has changed after applying the changes through Optmyzr. The Report will be available 15 days after the changes have been made.

The Post Optimization Report is currently available only for Keyword Lasso and the First Page Bridger.

Notes

You can leave a note related to the type of optimization done.

Filter by Date Range

You can filter the optimization history by specific date ranges. This can be by Last Month, This Month, Last Week, This Week, and Custom.

CSV Download

You can also export your optimization history over a determined period of time using the button on the right side of the screen, as shown in the screenshot below:

Once you download your Optimization History, you can filter your results according to your chosen date or other criteria.

Record Manual Optimization

If changes are made outside of Optmyzr (for example directly in Google Ads or Microsoft Ads), you can use Record Manual Optimization to log those updates in the Optimization History page.

This helps teams keep a centralized record of all account changes, making it easier to track activity, maintain notes about updates, and audit the work done on an account over time.

FAQ

How can I see what changes an employee made in Optmyzr?

Use the Optimization History page to review changes applied through Optmyzr. You can see what optimization was run, who applied it, when it happened, and whether it was successful.

What does Partial Success mean?

Partial Success means that only some of the changes from a specific tool run were applied successfully, while others failed. To understand which changes failed and why, review the individual logs available in the Details section.

Why do some changes fail to apply?

When you see Partial Success or Failed logs, it's important to review the individual change logs to identify the exact reason. However, some of the most common causes include:

  • Policy violations: The ad engine rejected the change due to policy restrictions (for example, forbidden topics or characters in ad copy).

  • Duplicate entities: The item you're trying to create already exists in the account, and the engine's API rejected it to avoid duplicates.

  • Incompatible settings: The change is incompatible with the campaign type or account setup (for example, attempting to modify CPC bids on a campaign using automated bidding).

  • Insufficient permissions: The MCC login used to connect the account to Optmyzr only has read-only access, which prevents changes from being applied.

Why are the changes in the ad engines (Google Ads, Microsoft Ads, etc.) recorded under a different email address than in Optimization History?

Optimization History records the changes under the Optmyzr user who applied the optimization in the platform.

However, the ad engines record the change under the email associated with the MCC login used to connect the account to Optmyzr. Because Optmyzr applies changes through that MCC connection, the engine logs the action under that MCC email.

Can I receive alerts from the Optimization History page?

No. The Optimization History page does not currently support alerts.

However, you can receive notifications about changes applied to your accounts by using the Change History Scope in Rule Engine.

Why can't I see changes for all my accounts?

Make sure the Show for all accounts option is enabled. This allows the Optimization History page to display changes across all connected accounts instead of only the currently selected account.

Are script changes recorded in Optimization History?

No. Optimization History only records changes applied through Optmyzr’s native tools, such as one-click optimizations, Rule Engine, Optmyzr Express, and Blueprints. Changes made through scripts are not included.

If you want to review changes made by scripts, you can typically find them in:

  • The Change History of the ad platform (Google Ads, Microsoft Ads, etc.)

  • Script logs in Optmyzr

  • Script logs within the ad platform itself

These locations will help you confirm whether a script executed and what changes it applied.
