Is Dynamic Keyword Insertion supported when editing ads in Ad Text Optimization?
Yes. Dynamic Keyword Insertion is supported when it's typed in the standard format: {keyword:Default Text}
To learn more about Keyword Insertion, see Google's Dynamic Keyword Insertion guide or Microsoft Advertising's Ad customizers documentation.
What happens with the tracking template when creating new ads?
When you create new ads using the "Find and Replace" option, the tracking templates will always get copied into the new ads.
When you use the "Upload CSV File" option to update existing ads, the tracking template will get copied automatically.
When you use the "Upload CSV File" option to create new ads, the tracking template will be added to the ads as long as the column Ad ID in the CSV contains the Ad ID.
Can I change Final URLs in bulk?
Yes, you can change Final URLs in bulk using the Upload CSV File option. This isn't supported through Find and Replace, which only edits headlines and descriptions.
To update landing pages across multiple ads:
Export your ads to CSV and edit the Final Url column.
Set Optmyzr Action to
editfor each row you changed.Re-upload the CSV.
This works with Google Ads and Microsoft Ads.
For ongoing URL changes, you can use Rule Engine at the Ad scope. Add a condition on Final Url, select Find and replace ad text, and enable the Final Url checkbox in the action settings. You can use this alongside the headline and description options. If Final Url isn't selected, the action won't change the URL. Rule Engine's Final URL replacement works with Responsive Search Ads.
