While creating new ads in Campaign Automator, you can now choose to create them in a Paused State.

What this means is that the first time the template runs and applies changes to Google Ads ads will be uploaded as paused. This helps in cases where ads need to be created and ready to run for a special event, like a promotion or sale since paused ads are also reviewed by Google Ads. This makes sure that ads are reviewed and eligible to run.

How do I enable this option in Campaign Automator?

You’ll find the option to upload ads in a paused state below the description section while creating your ad copies.

Important: Please note that creating ads in a paused state can be done only the first time the ad is created by the template in Google Ads. If in the template, the ad is set to be created in a paused state, the first time the ad is created by the template, it will be paused. However, when the template runs again and applies changes in Google Ads, the tool will automatically enable any paused ads that were created earlier and should now be enabled.
