Can't change the custom date range
The custom date range option in our tools lets you select a start date that is before the end date. For example, if your end date is set to June 30, 2015, then you'll only see the option to select a start date before that date.
To choose a start date after that date (in case you want to select a different date range), you'll have to change the end date first.
Why do I see data in the Top Placements widget for search-only campaigns?
The placements that are showing up for search-only campaigns in the Top Placement widget are parked domains on Search Partners. The API can pull this data and make it visible. If you unselect 'Search Partners' in the widget, they won't show.
Why don't I see an option to configure the Report Template for another account?
This can be because of a local network issue when there is a firewall or plugin that is blocking the report from loading. To figure this out, please follow the steps below:
Open the report in an incognito window. This will let you check if a plugin is causing the problem.
If you see the same issue even in the incognito window, send us a screenshot of the error message you see in the console. Details below:
Press Cmd+Alt+I (for MAC) or F12 (for Windows), and a console window will open up below your page. In this window, click on the Console tab and send us a screenshot of the error message you see at support@optmyzr.com.
Can't see labels in the Campaign Selector dropdown
To see the labels in the Campaign Selector widget, you need to create them in your Optmyzr account, or Google Ads account first. If you want to create labels in Optmyzr, you can use the Manage Labels feature. Once you create them, they will start showing in the Campaign Selector widget along with any Google Ads labels you have available.
What does 'Campaign Selectors not configured for this account' mean?
When you open a report template that is using the Campaign Selector widget for an account that doesn't have Campaign Selectors configured, this message appears. Report templates are stored at the Optmyzr account level and can be used across accounts, however, reports that use Campaign Selectors need to be configured at the account level the first time. This is because the names of campaigns and labels will be different across Google Ads accounts.
If you want to run the report at the account level, and if you choose to use Campaign Selectors, you can click on the Configure button. This will take you to the report designer, where you can configure the Campaign Selector widgets for that Google Ads account. Be sure to check the data widgets in the report as well before saving.
The Campaign Selector configuration is saved at the Google Ads account level for each report, and the system remembers it.
For example, when you configure Campaign Selectors for "Account A" in "Report A" the system will remember it, and when you run "Report A" for "Account A" next time, so you won't have to re-configure.
Why is the Quality Score widget showing N/A for my account in the Report Designer?
It might be because you are looking at QS data for a date before the day you linked your account to Optmyzr. Our system starts pulling and storing the Quality Score data from the day the account is added to Optmyzr. There is no historical QS data available in Google Ads, and we can only show it from the date the Google Ads account was added to Optmyzr.
The Geo HeatMap widget appears to be split across two pages. How can I fix this?
The Geo HeatMap widget sometimes gets split in the PDF version of the report. We have been working to fix this, but it seems like a bug with the Google Maps API, which is making it difficult to correct. Meanwhile, a workaround is to save the report from the browser using the Ctrl+P functionality in Chrome. You can follow these steps to save the report as a PDF in Chrome:
Open the report in Chrome
Press Ctrl+P/Cmd+P to open the print window
Save as PDF instead of printing it
Make sure the backgrounds and colors option is checked
Can't see images in the Top Images widget
We are only able to show images that are uploaded as images in Google Ads. Currently, is not possible to show template ads (created using the Display Ad Builder in Google Ads) as Google doesn't return images for template ads.
My call extension report has some discrepancies with the Google Ads system
In Google Ads, the clicks that you see by default against the extension are for any click that happened on the ad when the extension showed. This is the case with other metrics as well. The data you see in the reporting widget in Optmyzr is for that specific extension. It is possible to see this data in Google Ads by selecting the segment 'This Extension vs. Other'.
This will let you see any clicks that the specific extension actually got and how many clicks other extensions got when this extension showed. In Google Ads, you can segment the data, and the numbers you see for 'This Extension' should match what you see in the Optmyzr widget.
Why do reports show Search Impression share and Display Impression share values as 9.99% for all date ranges?
You might see such data in case the values of these metrics are below 10% for any Google Ads entity like an account or campaign. The new GoogleAds API returns data in a different way, so previously, you would see it as <10% for these particular metrics.
What do unadjusted conversion value and conversion value adjustment metrics refer to?
These metrics are helpful if you have conversion value rules set up in your account. Let's say that for a certain segment like the location, you have a value rule applied. These metrics would then give you an overview of what the actual base value of conversion was and the additional value that got added. The unadjusted conversion value is the base conversion value (with or without the rule applied). The conversion value adjustment is the extra value that gets added when a conversion happens for that particular segment.
