The Shared Lists feature in Camping Automator helps you create lists of common keywords, negative keywords, ads, and ad group assets that you may want to use across multiple Camping Automator templates and accounts.

The benefit of using Shared Lists is that instead of updating or removing different keywords, negative keywords, or ad group asset templates from each of your Camping Automator templates, you can manage them from one place—the Manage Shared Lists page.

Getting Started with Shared Lists

To begin, follow these steps:

  1. Navigate to Manage Shared Lists:

  2. Create a New Shared List Template:

    • Click the Create New Shared List Template button.

    • Choose whether you want to create a list for keywords, negative keywords, ads, or ad group assets.

Creating a Shared List

  1. Dynamic Insertion:

    • When creating your list, you can add dynamic insertion placeholders. These placeholders are column names or headers that you can replace later or map to actual columns in your Camping Automator templates. This is optional but useful for flexibility.

Adding Elements:

  • Add each element (e.g., keywords) to the Shared List as a general template.

  • If you've added Dynamic Insertion placeholders, you can use them here by typing in an open curly brace '{' just like when editing Campaign Automator templates.

After linking the Shared Lists to different Camping Automator templates, you can return to this list and edit any shared elements in one place. This makes it easy to update your templates consistently.

Implementing Shared Lists

  1. Linking to Camping Automator Templates:

  2. Linking Shared Lists:

    • Click on the Shared List tab.

    • Select Link Shared List.

    • Choose the relevant Shared List.

    • If you've added dynamic insertion placeholders, map the columns from your source file to the placeholders you created earlier.

  3. Preview and Save:

    • Preview the elements in your Shared List to ensure everything is correct.

    • Save your Camping Automator template.

By following these steps, you can efficiently manage and update your shared resources across multiple templates and accounts within Camping Automator. This ensures consistency and saves time, making your workflow more streamlined and effective.
