Updates to kickstart the Shopping Season

Create shopping and performance max campaigns based on product performance

Creating shopping campaigns based on performance has been a strategy used by numerous advertisers. However, the process can be cumbersome, involving multiple steps such as obtaining product reports from Google Ads and including them as custom labels in your campaigns.

This whole process is much easier with our newest update to the Shopping Campaign Management tool! You can create rules to split campaigns by metrics like conversions, clicks, cost, etc., (in addition to ROAS and price).

Your existing ROAS/price-based campaigns will continue to be available in this new format, and the older method will be deprecated. Plus, we offer budget and Target ROAS recommendations based on historical data for added convenience. Read more in this blog.

Get notified when the number of disapproved products crosses a limit

We’ve introduced a custom alert to monitor when the number or percentage of disapproved products in your merchant feed exceeds your specified threshold.

This would help you promptly address and resolve any potential issues, preventing the loss of traffic and sales in case a significant portion of your feed faces disapproval. This feature is applicable to both Google Merchant Center and Microsoft feeds.

New Optmyzr Express optimizations for optimizing feeds

In addition to our existing express optimization for 'Brand' attributes, we've introduced five more widgets. These widgets identify products in your merchant feed without values for the 'Title,' 'Description,' 'Price,' 'Link,' and 'Image Link' attributes, allowing you to input and apply them through a supplemental feed (which you'll need to create in the merchant center).

This approach streamlines feed optimization in small chunks of five products at a time, eliminating the need to set up rules for all products with missing attributes.

Here's how it works:

  1. Create a 'Content API' supplemental feed in your merchant center account (instructions provided here), and share the supplemental feed ID with us.

  2. We'll use this supplemental feed to implement the desired changes to your products.

Quickly create customized assets for multiple PMax asset groups using asset templates

With this new feature in the Shopping Campaign Management tool, you can greatly expedite the process of creating assets for your asset groups when setting up PMax campaigns. Simply create a template, and the system will automatically generate assets within the asset groups for all campaigns created under the PMax campaign group. It will also handle asset groups created in the future by the refresher automation.

You can include asset group-level attributes in the headlines and descriptions, allowing the system to generate unique text assets for each asset group.

Enhanced monitoring and reporting on Amazon Ads

Gain control over the traffic coming to Amazon Display Campaigns using Rule Engine

The popular 'Product Targets' section in the Rule Engine is now compatible with Sponsored Display campaigns as well!

This update enables you to track the traffic generated by your campaigns by targeting relevant product targets/categories. It ensures that your ads reach users actively seeking and showing interest in your advertised product category.

Additionally, you can filter out irrelevant traffic by identifying expensive targets. You can then adjust their bids or change their status to reduce wasted ad spend.

Add deeper insights and visualizations to Amazon reports

Enhance your insight into your Amazon ads account performance through more user-friendly visualizations in the Reporting tool. With our new widgets like 'Key Performance Indicators,' 'Performance Summary,' and 'Performance by Time Period,' you can easily spot trends and make metric or time period comparisons.

The exciting news is that you can now create a fully customizable report for a single account and conveniently apply it to multiple Amazon accounts. This eliminates the need to create multiple similar reports for different accounts, saving you time and effort.

Monitor and update RSAs, search terms, and keywords

Search and update RSAs easily in the Ad Text Optimization (RSA) tool

Finding RSAs and ad assets containing specific phrases is now simpler thanks to the new 'Search' functionality in the Ad Text Optimization (RSA) tool!

For instance, if you want to modify headlines promoting a sale, you can easily locate all headlines featuring the term “SALE”.

Understand the different match types of high-performing search terms and keyword quality scores

We've introduced side trays in the PPC Policy and Audits tool to provide you with insights on:

  • Match types of search terms generating the highest clicks/conversions, including matching keywords and performance data.

  • A list of keywords along with their quality scores, including components like 'Expected CTR,' 'Landing Page Quality,' and 'Ad Relevance' scores.

This data would be invaluable for analyzing your search terms and keywords, helping you determine if you need to refine your keyword lists for improved targeting.

New task-tracking flow to better streamline your PPC management

We’ve made some updates to the “My Tasks” page to help you experience a clutter-free task list:

  • We've eliminated multiple copies of the same tasks, ensuring you only see one instance of each scheduled task, displaying the most recent due date.

  • If a schedule is missed, the 'Skipped cycles' info will be updated for easy tracking.

  • We won't create the next due instance until the current one is completed to prevent task overload.

  • Overdue tasks are consolidated into one instance. We've also reset your tasks and removed old overdue tasks in bulk to give you a clean start.

Along with this update, you can now distinguish between completed tasks and auto-skipped tasks. In response to customer requests, we've added functionality to help you differentiate between tasks marked as done by your team and tasks automatically closed by the system due to a lack of suggestions.
