This article aims to help you set up your Opmtyzr Account and perform housekeeping tasks to get you started effectively.

Create Your Trial Account

Let's kick things off by creating your free 14-day Optmyzr trial. No credit card is required! Simply head to our signup page, enter your work email address, get creative with a strong password, and provide the necessary information for your account.

Clicking on the 'Create Trial Account' button will lead you to the general onboarding flow where you will be able to connect your ads accounts, set up general monitoring, invite your teammates, and much more.

Connecting Your Ad Platform

For starters, you can go ahead and connect your preferred Ads Account (Google, Microsoft, or Amazon). You can always connect more platforms later, including Yahoo Japan Ads, Google Analytics, and SA360.

Selecting Your PPC Priorities

Choose up to 3 goals from the list that align with your ad campaign objectives. This enables our team to better understand your priorities and streamline the onboarding process.

For Example, if you are a Shopping and PMax retail heavy advertiser and want to primarily use Optmyzr to help you automate and monitor those aspects, go ahead and select 'Shopping and Performance Max Campaigns', 'Automation and Efficiency' and, 'Account Monitoring' as the PPC Priorities.

Picking Your Favorite Accounts

Select up to 10 different accounts from the list you deem the most important. These accounts will be 'Favorited' in our system giving them priority on the main dashboard (displayed above all). You can always change your favorites later.

Set Up Basic KPI Monitoring

You can set up important alerts for the accounts that you picked as favorites in the previous step. The alerts that you can create are:

  • Return on ad spend (ROAS) (only if your account has conversion value data)

  • Cost per acquisition (CPA)

  • Cost per click (CPC)

If these metrics cross the thresholds you set, you'll primarily receive notifications:

You can even configure alerts to be sent via Slack or Microsoft Teams, later on.

Invite Your Team Members

Add as many team members as you like, giving them access to Optmyzr's suite of tools. Simply enter their email addresses separated by commas. Invitation emails will be sent once you complete the onboarding flow.

All of your teammates who choose to accept the invitation will have the ability to connect ad accounts of their own and perform actions using Optmyzr. You can invite collaborators at any time after setup, too. Read more about it here.

Want to learn more about our tools and features? The last step lets you schedule a free 15-minute demo call with our team. Just choose a date and time that works for you, and we'll send an invitation.

Give the system a moment to set up, and you're done! You've successfully created your Optmyzr account. Feel free to explore everything Optmyzr has to offer and refer to our help resources if you need guidance.

What am I seeing?

After successful account creation, you'll be redirected to the All Accounts Dashboard. Here, you'll have access to view crucial performance data and discover optimization opportunities for all the accounts you've connected to Optmyzr, conveniently in one place.

Read all about it here.

Linking More Accounts

If you wish to link more accounts to Optmyzr, you can click on the 'Link Another Account' button on the All Accounts Dashboard to get redirected to the Manage Linked Accounts page.

Here, you will be able to connect accounts of the following platforms:

  • Google Ads

  • Microsoft Ads

  • Facebook Ads

  • Amazon Ads

  • Yahoo Japan Ads

  • Google Merchant Center

  • Google Analytics

  • Search Ads 360

  • Hubspot

Configuring the All Accounts Dashboard

Any other accounts that you connected to Optmzyr from the Manage Linked Accounts page will show up on the All Accounts Dashboard, showcasing data for the default performance metrics columns.

If you find that the default dashboard columns aren't suitable for analyzing your account's performance, the All Accounts Dashboard provides you with the option to select from an extensive list of performance metrics to add as new columns.

Not only that, you can practically customize every aspect of the dashboard according to your liking and save the layout as a custom 'View'.

Here's the list of customizations you can perform:

  • Scope: Include all linked accounts, break them down by Ad Platform, or only include Starred accounts.

  • Date Range: Select a pre-set date range from the list or specify a custom one.

  • Compare with: Compare performance data with a different period to better analyze fluctuations. You can use a pre-set period from the list or choose a custom one.

  • Filters: helps you filter by the account owner, as well as networks and devices.

  • Column Selection: select which metrics and attributes you'd like to include in the table.

  • Column Order: you can drag and drop columns to modify the order in which they show up on the table.

  • Sorting: Sort your accounts based on a specific metric. Read more about it here.

Note: All of your team members will have the ability to create and save a personalized view of the dashboard.

Set Up Additional Conversion Columns

If you are an advertiser who gets a significant amount of conversions and data from sources besides your webpage, and you use Google Ads Custom Conversions, GA4, or SA360 to record them, you can incorporate this data with Optmyzr using the Optimization Side Tray.

To open the Optimization Side Tray, click on the 3-dot option and 'Edit Account Details' for a particular account. The 'Additional Conversion Columns' settings will allow you to include specific custom conversions from the Google Ads account, and GA4, as well as

integrate data from your SA360 such as actions, action groups, and saved columns.

Once custom conversion columns are enabled, the selected conversions will become available across Optmyzr tools.

Setting Up Alerts

One of the final tasks that you can perform on day one is setting up important alerts for KPIs and Budget. These alerts ensure you're notified if your metrics or budget pacing deviate from the target. Additionally, you can configure automatic campaign pausing when aggregate spend approaches the target budget.

There are two ways that can help you create such alerts:

  • From the All Accounts Dashboard: Hovering over a metric value or monthly budget for a particular account will give you the option to create an alert for the same.

Clicking on '+ Add Alert' will open a side tray where you'll be able to complete the alert settings. Read more about it here.

  • Using the Alert Settings page: The Alert Settings page will allow you to create three different types of single account alerts -

    • Monitor Key Performance Metrics

    • Monitor Monthly Budget Pacing

    • Track Monthly Target Budget

and portfolio level (multiple accounts) budget alerts. Read more about setting up alerts here.
