What is It?
Optmyzr's Slack integration lets you stay on top of your ad accounts without leaving Slack. Once connected, you can receive the same alerts you'd otherwise get by email, and interact with Sidekick — Optmyzr's AI assistant — directly from your Slack workspace.
Note: Sidekick is powered by AI (it uses OpenAI's ChatGPT to generate responses), which may be inaccurate or incomplete. Always verify important data in Optmyzr or your ad platform before acting on it.
Why Use It?
Real-time alerts, no inbox required: get the same alerts you receive by email delivered straight to Slack, as soon as they trigger.
Ask questions in plain language: use Sidekick via slash commands or @mentions to get answers about your accounts without leaving Slack.
Works across platforms: alerts are supported for Google Ads, Microsoft Ads, Facebook Ads, and Amazon Ads.
You're in control: connect or disconnect your own Slack account at any time, and manage or delete your Sidekick data whenever you'd like.
Setting Up the Integration
To start receiving alerts and using Sidekick in Slack, give Optmyzr permission here. This integration is set up at the user level — alerts are sent to individual users in Slack.
Note: You can only give or revoke permission for your own Slack account.
Once your Slack account is connected successfully, you'll receive a confirmation message in Slack.
Note: The Optmyzr app is listed on the Slack Marketplace.
Receiving Alerts in Slack
You'll receive the same alerts on Slack that you currently receive by email. Alerts are supported for all current platforms — Google Ads, Microsoft Ads, Facebook Ads, and Amazon Ads.
Note: You'll also be notified of anomaly alerts on Slack.
When alerts are triggered
Alerts are triggered anytime during the day. All metric alerts associated with a specific account are triggered together, and accounts in the same time zone will trigger within a few minutes of each other.
What you'll be notified about
You'll be notified automatically as soon as an alert is triggered, but only for accounts where: your name appears in the email notification column, you're the account owner as defined on the MCC Dashboard, or you've starred the account as a favorite. You can edit these settings on the Alert Management page.
It isn't possible to change the alert frequency or filter by severity or alert type from Slack. If you edit an alert for a specific account, it will be updated and re-triggered immediately on Slack as well. Clicking the "View" button on a Slack alert takes you to the Alerts Triggered page.
Using Sidekick in Slack
Along with alerts, the Slack integration lets you interact with Sidekick, Optmyzr's AI assistant, directly within your Slack workspace. There are two ways to do this.
Slash Commands
Ask Sidekick questions from anywhere in your Slack workspace:
/optmyzr Show me campaign performance for last 30 days
The response appears in the same channel, group, or DM where you used the command.
For follow-up questions, use the slash command again:
/optmyzr Compare it with previous month
Sidekick maintains conversational context across follow-up prompts. To start a completely new conversation in the same channel, use the new keyword:
/optmyzr new Show performance for another account
Mentions in Channels
You can also interact with Sidekick by mentioning the Optmyzr bot in any channel or group conversation:
Add the Optmyzr bot to the channel.
Mention the bot with your question, for example:
@Optmyzr What caused the drop in conversions yesterday?
The bot replies inside a Slack thread attached to your message. Once the thread exists, you can keep asking questions directly in the thread without mentioning @Optmyzr again — Sidekick automatically maintains context within the thread. You can still tag teammates inside the thread normally; messages meant only for teammates won't trigger a bot response.
Managing the Integration
Uninstalling
The Slack integration can be removed in two ways:
From the Optmyzr Slack Management page — from the Slack management settings, you can revoke tokens, disconnect the Slack workspace, or remove the integration entirely.
From the Slack workspace — workspace admins can uninstall the Optmyzr app directly from Slack: open Slack workspace settings, go to installed apps, select the Optmyzr app, and uninstall it. Associated tokens are automatically revoked once uninstalled.
Deleting Your Data from Sidekick
You can remove your data in two ways:
Disconnect Sidekick — remove the integration from the Slack Management page in Optmyzr, or from Slack under Settings → Manage apps. This immediately stops Sidekick from processing any further data from your workspace.
Delete your account or request deletion — if you delete your Optmyzr account, all of your account information is deleted after 30 days. You can also request deletion at any time by contacting us through our officially published support channels.
There may be a short delay before data is fully removed from our servers and backups, and Optmyzr may retain limited information where necessary to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, or enforce agreements. See the Privacy Policy for details.

Skip the inbox: see and act on alerts the moment they fire, without waiting to check email.
Get quick answers during a conversation: ask Sidekick a question about account performance right in the channel you're already working in, instead of switching to Optmyzr.
Keep the whole team in the loop: mention the Optmyzr bot in a shared channel so teammates can see the question and Sidekick's answer together, and follow up in-thread.
