What is It?
Feed Optimization helps you identify and fix issues in your Google Merchant Center feed directly within Optmyzr, then publish those changes back to Merchant Center through a supplemental feed.
Note: Feed Optimization tool is available only for the Google Ads platform.
Why Use Feed Optimization?
Fix issues where you find them: Move directly from identifying feed problems to correcting them.
Edit at any scale: Update a single product, a filtered group of products, or your entire feed.
Eliminate spreadsheet workflows: No need to export, edit, and re-upload feed files.
Automate recurring fixes: Create rules that automatically apply to new products as your feed changes.
Use AI to speed up optimization: Generate titles, descriptions, and other attributes in bulk.
Track improvements instantly: Audit scores and issue counts update as you make changes.
Where to Access It?
You can open Feed Optimization in two ways:
Navigate to Shopping → Feed Optimization from the navigation menu.
From the Shopping Dashboard, click View and Optimize Products in the Feed Audit widget.
How to Use It
Selecting a Merchant Center Account to Optimize

For each account, you'll see:
Merchant Center account name and ID
Number of products in the feed
Last sync date, with a Resync option
Feed Audit Score
View and Optimize button

Feed Optimization Preview Page
The preview page consists of two primary areas:
Audit Panel
Product Table
1. Audit Panel
The Audit Panel gives you an overview of your feed health, including the current Audit Score, the number of affected products, and the total issues found in the feed.
Below the score is a list of audits with active findings. Each audit shows an impact indicator and the number of affected products, helping you prioritize issues correctly. Audits include missing brands in titles, short descriptions, and missing product attributes such as links, images, mobile URLs, and prices.
Select Manage Audits to control which audits are included in your feed evaluation. In the dialog, audits are organized into categories such as Title and Description Quality, Basic Product Data, and others with mandatory fields labeled REQUIRED. You can search, browse, enable, or disable audits and then click Update to apply your changes.
Your Audit Score and issue counts are recalculated immediately based on the audits you select.
2. Product Table
The Product Table displays one row per product and includes multiple feed attributes, such as:
ID
Title
Description
Link
Image Link
Availability
Price and others
Column Indicators
Column headers display:
Warning Icon: Indicates that one or more audits have flagged issues with that attribute. Hover to see additional details and affected product counts.
Gear Icon: Opens a sidetray to configure advanced optimization rules for that attribute. See Feed Optimization – Optimizing Product Data for details.
Table Controls
The toolbar above the table allows you to:
Bulk Edit multiple products
Show Only Edited Columns for easier review
Search product data
Filter products using attribute-based conditions
Manage Columns displayed in the table
Export the current view
Adjust Rows Per Page
Finding Products to Optimize
You can narrow your product list using:
Audit Filters: Click an audit to display only products affected by that issue.
Search: Use the search bar to find products or values across visible data.
Advanced Filters: Create custom filters using-
Attributes
Conditions (Contains, Equals, Starts With, etc.)
Values
Multiple rules can be combined using AND/OR logic.
Note: Filters only affect what is displayed and selected for bulk actions. They do not modify product data.
Optimizing Product Data
Once you've identified the products you want to update, you can modify data using:
Single-cell edits
AI-generated content
Bulk edits
Advanced Column-level rules
Detailed instructions are available here.
Publishing Changes to Merchant Center
Changes remain in Optmyzr until they are published. Select Save and Exit to save your work and continue later without publishing your changes immediately.
To publish changes:
Review the supplemental feed details shown in the dialog.
Choose how changes should be applied.
Click Create and Publish Feed to start processing.
When published, Optmyzr writes updates to a supplemental feed directly through the Merchant API.
Publishing Options
Apply Only Once: Publishes your changes immediately and does not run again. Use this option for one-time manual corrections.
Apply and Refresh Automatically (Recommended): You’ll see this option if you have optimization rules configured for one or more product attributes. It publishes changes immediately and re-applies your rules on a recurring schedule.
This option is recommended when you want your fixes to automatically apply to future products, especially if you use column rules or your source feed changes frequently.
Use Cases
Fixing Feed Issues Before Launch
Problem: A large number of products have missing or outdated information that could prevent them from serving well on ad platforms.
Solution: Review audit findings, make bulk corrections to affected attributes, and publish the updated feed to improve product serving.
Automating Ongoing Feed Updates
Problem: New products and feed changes are continuously added, creating ongoing work to apply the same optimizations across the catalog.
Solution: Set up rules and automatic refreshes to automatically apply your optimizations to new and updated products as they enter the feed.
Large-Scale Seasonal Feed Cleanup
Problem: Thousands of products have multiple feed quality issues before a major sales period.
Solution: Work through audit findings, apply bulk edits and rules, then publish with automatic refresh enabled to maintain feed quality throughout the season.
