See Asset-Level Performance and Recommended Actions in Performance Max

The new PMax Asset Optimization tool gives you asset-level visibility into your Google Ads Performance Max campaigns.

The tool pulls all text, image, and video assets from across your PMax asset groups into one place, so you can assess creative performance without clicking through each campaign and asset group individually in the Google Ads platform.

With this tool, you can:

  • Clearly distinguish between auto-created and uploaded videos, and get the recommended next step — keep, pause, replace, or refresh — for your assets.

  • Edit or replace assets directly in existing non-retail PMax campaigns, in bulk, and copy your winning assets to other asset groups.

  • Get alerts that flag underperformance and policy disapprovals as they happen. (User Guide)

Upgrade Your Plan Directly from Your Account

You can now upgrade your plan and change your spend tier directly from the Subscription page.

You can click on the Upgrade button on the Subscription page. It will open a three-panel view:

  1. Current Plan

  2. Select New Plan

  3. What You’ll Gain

Before anything is charged, you can review the full cost breakdown — prorated amount due today, proration credit, pending overages, VAT, and other billing details.

Set Change Limits on Individual Budgets in Budget Monitor

You can now set a percentage change limit for each budget in the Budget Monitor automation feature. This caps how much a single budget can move in one automation run. For example, a ±20% limit on a $100 budget means it can only move between $80 and $120 per run.

This works on both increases and decreases. Budgets that hit the cap are set to the boundary rather than skipped. The limit is optional — existing behavior is unchanged if you don't set one — and any limits applied show up in change history. (User Guide)

Add Search Themes to Performance Max Templates in Campaign Automator and Shopping Campaign Management

You can now configure Search Themes directly within Performance Max templates in Campaign Automator and the Shopping Campaign Management tools, instead of setting them separately in Google Ads.

Search Themes give Performance Max additional signals about the queries customers are likely to use, helping it discover relevant traffic faster and improve targeting.

This streamlines setup and management of PMax Lead Generation campaigns in the tools.

To learn more, you can read about Search Themes in the Campaign Automator - User Guide and Shopping Campaign Automator - User Guide.

Navigate Campaign Automator Faster with a Simplified Interface

Campaign Automator's landing page now has clearer automation schedule labels, a schedule filter, and a dedicated filter for Template Types moved into a filter for easier browsing.

The Data Source side tray is simpler too — source type selection is now a single dropdown instead of six checkbox tiles, and merchant feeds show their last sync time with an inline Resync Feed option.

The Modified Data Columns side tray now lets you chain multiple modifications on a single column and apply them in sequence, with an improved preview that highlights exactly what each modification changed — including for Merchant Center.

To learn more, read the Campaign Automator User Guide and the Modified Data Columns article.

Request Policy Exemptions Right From AI Campaign Builder

You can now request a policy exemption while applying AI-generated campaigns in the Campaign Creation tool’s “Create Campaigns with AI” option.

Campaign settings include an option to automatically request policy exemptions for eligible ads and keywords so they can continue serving. Ads or keywords that violate prohibited policies are not eligible for exemptions and will still fail. (User Guide)

Roll Over Unspent Budget Between Cycles in Budget Monitor

You can now turn on an optional Rollover Budget setting on a Budget Monitor. This carries the unspent amount from a closing cycle into the next cycle's target, instead of resetting to zero.

This works for both increases and decreases, and matches how you actually manage client budgets across months instead of silently losing underspend at cycle boundaries. (User Guide)

Note: This feature is available to Premium users only.

Grouped Email Alerts in Budget Monitor

Budget Monitor notifications are now grouped into a single summary email instead of sending a separate email for every event.

Previously, one Budget Monitor could generate seven or eight emails. Now, the system consolidates non-urgent notifications into one email, while it still sends time-sensitive notifications immediately.

You can turn this feature on or off from Settings and Users > Preferences > Email preferences for Budget Monitor, using the "Club my Budget Monitor emails" toggle. (User Guide)

Set KPI Alerts for Amazon Campaign Portfolios

You can now create KPI alerts for Amazon campaign portfolios in Alerts, tracking every portfolio in an account or just the ones you choose. You can set custom or automatic targets and trigger alerts when performance changes.

This makes it easier to catch a product line, brand, or category underperforming across multiple campaigns. (User Guide)

See Campaign Type at a Glance for Performance Max Campaigns

Whenever you select View/Group by Campaign Type in a tool, you will now see Performance Max campaigns split into two distinct subtypes:

  1. Performance Max - Pay Per Lead

  2. Performance Max - Retail

These subtypes are available across multiple tools, including Reallocate and Optimize Budgets, Budget Monitors, all the Dashboards, Search Term N-Grams, and Account Structure Audit.

Note: Available for Google Ads only.

See Post Engagement as Its Own Metric for Meta Ads

You can now track Post Engagement as a distinct metric for Meta Ads, wherever you already work with Social data — the column picker across all Social tools, Rule Engine at the account level, and Alerts at both the account and campaign level now include "Post Engagement" as a metric.

Set UTM Tracking at the Ad Level in Social Campaign Manager

You can now set UTM parameters and website tracking at the ad level for Meta Ads in Social Campaign Manager, not just at the ad-set level. This is available during single image ad creation and editing, and matches what Meta itself supports at the ad level.

Note: This is available for Meta Ads only. (User Guide)
